Babies grow and change so quickly in their first year and a first birthday photoshoot can be a great way to capture a moment in time. The photos can serve as a reminder of how small and precious your child was at this stage.
The first year of a baby’s life is filled with so many milestones and firsts. You, as parents, try to record every new development, every new word. We all do. ( I made lots of cassette tapes of gurgles & other nonsense ). We photograph or film their pure excitement at eating, the first time they walk and make a mental note of their delightful gafs some of which replace the true intended word in your vocabulary. One of my favourites is my daughter’s attempt to say upside down, she said, ‘up spy down’.
But when you spend the time with a professional specialised baby photographer, you will get beautiful photos that are worth decorating your walls with, or creating an heirloom album to be cherished forever or even be given as gifts to family members, particularly appreciated by grandparents.
As a photographer, I used my children’s birthdays as a great excuse to take out my professional camera and take some memorable shots which we used to make birthday cards with. My husband printed them, together we were a great team! But, I often omitted to include myself and my hubby. This is where I come in to make sure that you have beautiful photos of YOU the parents, with your BABY as well as striking photos recording this milestone of your baby’s first birthday. As one of my clients accurately said, ‘You will never be more beautiful than you are today’.

I have not seen a stronger bond than that of a mother or a father with their baby or a sibling with their baby sister or brother. It’s so powerful and I feel that my inner power and passion is to document this as truly and as powerfully as I can.
