Newborn Photography in Geneva

Welcoming a new baby is a fleeting and emotional time.

My newborn photography sessions in Chêne-Bougeries, Geneva, are designed to capture your baby with softness and care, creating timeless, natural portraits.

Sessions take place in a calm, home studio environment, with the option to include parents.

A warm, natural approach

My work is rooted in fine-art portraiture, using warm tones and carefully shaped lighting that reflects the softness of natural light.

Rather than relying on trends or heavy styling, I focus on your baby as they are — their expressions, their stillness and the quiet connection between you.

Props are minimal and thoughtfully chosen, often handmade or rustic.

When should I book my newborn session?

It’s best to book during your second trimester to ensure availability.

Sessions usually take place within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are naturally sleepy and curled.

If your baby has already arrived, feel free to get in touch — it’s never too late.

How does a newborn session work?

Sessions are calm, unhurried and entirely guided by your baby's rhythm.

We will go through everything together before your session so you feel fully prepared.

What happens during the session?

There is time for feeding, settling and pauses whenever needed. Nothing is rushed. You can relax on my big sofa when you are not involved in the shoot.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Everything is prepared for you. Simple guidance is shared before your session so you feel relaxed and ready.

Can Parents be included?

Yes—I encourage parents to get involved in the session, or you may choose to keep the focus on your baby.

Session options

Newborn sessions in Geneva are designed to be flexible.

You may choose a session focused on your baby, or include parents and family.

Images and printed artwork are selected separately, allowing you to choose only what you truly love.

Full details are shared during your enquiry or consultation.

Newborn photo session fees start at 420 CHF. If you are interested in learning more, do get in touch or schedule a chat with me.

I also do offer two special packages including digitals

How many images or setups will we get during an average session?

Each session is unique, but you can expect a carefully curated selection of images rather than a high volume.

The focus is on quality, variety and meaningful moments.

On average, I do between 3-4 set ups with the baby alone.

Words of love from one of my Newborn Clients in Geneva

Helen took great photos of our newborn son at less than 2 weeks old.

As first time parents, Helen took the time to get to know us while mom and newborn were still in the hospital and was thoughtful in her approach on the day of the photoshoot.

We were able to take various photos of our newborn as well as our family in different settings.

We are very pleased with how the photos turned out and quality of the final presentation.

Why hire a professional newborn photographer?

Your baby’s first days pass impossibly fast — those tiny expressions and delicate details change before you can fully take them in.

With years of experience, I approach each session with care and patience, always prioritising your baby’s comfort and safety while gently capturing this fleeting time.

These are more than portraits — they are quiet, lasting reminders of just how deeply your baby was loved from the very beginning.

Can you guarantee specific poses with our baby?

Every baby is different, and sessions are always guided by your baby’s comfort.

Rather than fixed poses, I work gently and adapt to what feels natural for your baby on the day.

Where do the newborn sessions take place?

Studio sessions take place in my home studio in Chêne-Bougeries, where you can relax and choose from a selection of carefully chosen props and blankets.

Lifestyle sessions can take place in your home, with images captured in a natural setting during the first four weeks, provided there is sufficient daylight.

Planning for the end result

This is an often-overlooked point, but nevertheless, extremely important.

It is wise to think about what you want to do with your photos before you create them.

Here are several very different examples of prints and an album, specially designed for babies and children.
